Supergirl by Gray Morrow
The above image is taken from the comic-book adaptation of the ill-fated Supergirl movie, which boasted a charming performance from Helen Slater and little else.
For the comic, writer Joey Cavalieri did the best he could with David Odell’s weak script. Fortunately, Morrow’s art was superb and ranks as one of the best visualizations of the Girl of Steel.
DC will probably never reissue this comic, but it’s worth tracking down for the art alone if possible.

I love Gray Morrow’s art. If nothing else came of the Supergirl movie, at least they got Morrow to illustrate the adaptation. And, yeah, Helen Slater was a pretty good Supergirl. If only she’d had the movie her vivacious performance deserved!
Yeah superlative artwork in every way…a stark contrast to the mechanistic pencils Carmine Infantino turned in for Kara’s ill fated final solo series “The Daring New Adventures of Supergirl”.
Although, Carmine was a huge breath of fresh air compared to four years of Don Heck and Win Mortimer.
BTW any comment on the rumor that Laura Vandervoort’s Kara Zor El is being dropped out of the Smallville cast next season?
Gosh, but that is pretty.
Wow, I actually had that issue years ago.
