There is a nice video with her explaining a little about the process and yes I agree with you that once there was only a need for a a comic book by DC, Marvel, Charlton, etc. in order to have an all age adventure

I dunno, being new comics day, my local was crammed with Junior High kids today, mostly gaming but some were buying books. The above captioned Supergirl title seems tailor-made for tweener girls...quite frankly Kara Zor El seems a natural for that type of setting.

Geez maybe we could up a petition if this turns into an ongoing book,...try and convince DC to give Trina Robbins a shot at writing an all-ages Supergirl.

kids don't buy comics any more. why? because the only place you can buy comics now is in specialist comic outlets. i don't know about your local comic shop, but mine's decidedly lacking in anyone under the age of sixteen. you want kids to buy comics again? ( and i so do! ) then, start putting them out there where kids actually SEE them. and how about a little variety? not every kid cares about blokes in tights beating up other blokes in tights. how about some western action? ghost stories? funny animals? romance? spacemen? war stories?

man, i am too old for this. . .
