After a few months’ absence we tuned into Smallville Thursday and encountered a Supergirl who …
- Kicked a$$ and saved Cousin Kal from certain death
- Acted like she was a nice person or something
Of course, that was all in the last 10 minutes of the episode. Prior to that, Kara was portrayed an amnesiac victim too clueless to notice Lex Luthor’s villainy.
Still given the way Supergirl has fumbled about in film and comics lately, this frustrated fan will take whatever he can get …

Yeah that did my heart good, klassic Kara used to save Kal El quite a bit back in the day, thats a meme worth reviving in today’s comics.
Of course, I am now of the suspicion that Kara will kill Lionel in an upcoming episode as retaliation for Clark’s inprisonment and torture…which will touch off all the usual Smallville pseudo angst well into next season. Trust me, soon enough we will be horrified again by the writing on Smallville.
This was an awesome episode all around. Like you said, Kara kicked ass, but also they got rid of the amnesia storyarc really quickly–it’s only been around for three or four eps–curtailed the Lex Luthor and Kara coupling that would have made fans all around the world scream “Nooooooooooooooo!” and what an effin’ great Chloe and Lana episode.
Chloe and Lana kidnap Kara right from under Lex. Can it get any better? Yes, it can. Chloe confronts Jor-El, or the AI version of Jor-El, and reasons with him, maybe even shames him to get Kara’s powers restored.

Is it wrong if I still hope that she still manages to get skewered through the heart with a Kryptonite trident come season’s end, despite her grand destiny?

Supergirl should just leave Clark to whine in his farm and lead the Green Arrow Justice League! Supergirl and the Justice League of America has a nice ring to it
I WOULD LIKE TO SEE BULLETS BOUNCE OFF SUPERGIRL.
