Heh.
To be honest, though, the Keeper cannot in good conscience limit our summation of Joe Quesada’s CBR interviews to the above image.
Within the Sturm und Drang of post-OMD (One More Day, not Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark, sadly) Marvel, the Q Continuum did make a good point:
The truth of the matter is that if the fans truly want a married Peter and MJ with kids, then we have an incredible book called Spider-Girl. If this is truly what fandom wants, to see Peter go through the natural progressions of life, then I expect orders on Spider-Girl to go through the roof in the next month.
The Amazing Spider-Girl is indeed a fun book that is closer to the spirit of classic Spidey than the entirety of JMS’ long and not-so-storied run. Peter and Mary-Jane’s marriage is alive and well, and that whole “great power and responsibility” thing keeps screwing up little May’s personal life.
For those of you who claim Spider-Girl isn’t about the “real” Peter Parker, well … they’re all just fictional characters right? Isn’t it easier to stick with a version one prefers than to suffer through crud like OMD and The Other just because it is supposedly part of the “official” continuity?
If you truly want to see Peter and MJ happily married, back up those sentiments by purchasing Spider-Girl or dropping the Spidey books altogether. Otherwise, we’re all just pointlessly cursing the darkness.
Fun as that may be…
(Stupid darkness).
