Patsy Walker(s) by Stuart Immonen.
The short Hellcat stories in Marvel Comics Presents by Stuart and Kathryn Immonen manage each month to combine Patsy’s Archie-esque past with her Bronze Age super-hero career and ’90s horror stint.
In other words, the strip is #$%^# awesome.
Along with World War Hulk and The Order, Hellcat is one of the best Marvel series this year.
More, please …

Okay, I need to know:
Are those a bunch of Patsies all fighting themselves/herself?
Immonen is doing a Hellcat series in MCP?
How did I miss that?
Well, the rest of the book is just OK. But Immonen’s Hellcat is the cat’s meow *ouch* and does, indeed, feature different incarnations of Patsy Walker duking it out.
The Hellcat persona itself busted in on the proceedings at the end of the third issue, setting up what will hopefully be a bizarre conclusion worthy of an old Sabrina comic!
This is what Kirby intended when he created man with MCP.
It’s killing me not keeping up with this book!
The rest of the book actually is below ok in that I’ve read the other stories and can’t remember a DAMN thing about them. Not even who they’re about…
Which is a pity because the Immonens’ stuff is pure gold. But I can’t justify buying the rest of the book just for the one story…
The same way I can’t buy WWH: Aftersmash simply for 3 pages of Chris G’s Marvel-Minis. Despite it being awesome…
