It’s time for Thursday Night Thinking, so let’s take a look at the Mighty Avengers.
In times of crisis, this team will put all selfish thoughts aside and devise a battle plan that is guaranteed to succeed!
Or …. maybe they’ll just flail about helplessly and hurl insults at each other.
Morons.

Man, this page really makes me wonder why I’m not buying Mighty Avengers.
Seriously, though - how much better would that page read if you just cut the thought balloons?
-M
All in favor of changing their name to “Mighty Useless Avengers”, raise your hands!
We would also accept “Mighty Stupid Avengers”.
Mega
Idiotic
Gruelingly
Hesitant
Truly
Yuseless (okay, it’s a stretch)
Avengers!
So… I have to know and this brave new era of Photoshop makes me have to ask since I don’t actually read Mighty Avengers (marvel right now kind of burns my hands if I touch their products — until Foolkiller comes out, anyway): Are those thought balloons actually in the published comic as-is? Because if so, god, shut up, Ms. Marvel. I thought she was a highly educated professional woman with military history, not a fifteen year old second-tier mean girl hanging out at the mall. Pehaps once Bendis got hold of her that changed since she’s not the infallible Jessica Jones?
Seriously, throw me a bone or something here.

Yes, those thought balloons were actually published in the comic as is. Ms. Marvel DOES seem to have dropped a few IQ points after Bendis and his pal Brian Reed brought the character back to prominence.
Which is too bad, because there is an awesome fight scene at the end of the book.
