Sure, sure … Brian Bendis takes his sweet time advancing plots in Ultimate Spider-Man. Months and months have gone by and poor Peter has barely made it through his sophomore year in high school …
However, decompression is great if you’re a supporting character! Just ask Ultimate Gwen & MJ!
Time passes so slowly in the girls’ reality that there’s ample opportunity to kick back, get some popcorn and watch a movie while everyone else’s life proceeds at a snail’s pace.
Not that things still didn’t catch up to poor Gwen at the end …
